I have been in and around hunting and fishing since childhood and from the age of 7 when I took my first deer I was hooked. An avid bow hunter, I have hunted the majority of the western states for mule deer and elk and have concentrated my whitetail pursuit in my home state of Texas. In more recent years I have been chasing sheep and exotics with my wife. I come to Gartland with a long background in sporting goods retail having spent several years as an archery tech and manager in both privately owned and box store settings. My most recent endeavor was a medium size gun shop that specialized in suppressors and other NFA weapons, of which I was the general manager of for 5 years before joining the Gartland team. I have a son that has really taken to the hunting and shooting lifestyle and is my sidekick at every opportunity. My daughter is a different story, but a blessing all the same.
